Designer in West Berkeley

I’m a designer and founder based in Berkeley, California. Most recently I founded New Layer, a consumer software company that makes products like Read.cv and Posts.

Prior to that I was Director of Product Design at Quip where I helped manage and grow the team, and worked on both the core product and 0-1 initiatives like Slides and Live Apps.

Before that I was a part of the product design team at Facebook where I worked on products like Reactions, News Feed, and Photos.

2024

Two new products to turn your Read.cv profile into a personal website.

Sites OS — a spatial workspace for creating sites. Instant react sites that deploy in seconds, hot reloading in the browser, npm modules.

Templates marketplace — a space for the Read.cv community to create, share, and remix templates.

2023

A third space for the Read.cv community. Available on the app store and the web.

2021

Read.cv started as a small personal tool for creating online résumés, but has quickly grown into a lively creative platform and community of over 100K like-minded people. In addition to creating a professional identity for themselves, designers, engineers, artists, and builders alike use Read.cv to find creative inspiration, job opportunities, and new collaborators.

Chatted with Dragan and Arsenije for an episode of their podcast Zalet while on vacation in Belgrade.

Brian was kind enough to invite me for an interview with Frontier magazine. We chat about careers and the changing definitions of a team.

Chatted with Jake about what we're building at Read.cv. I would argue that "moving intentionally" could be a more appropriate title, but you get the idea.
