Introduce us to your team

We're a multi-disciplined, fully remote team who's responsible for all things ~design~ at Nav. We're designers, writers, artists, video producers, and customer obsessors.

Our team includes Product Design, Creative, Brand, and Research. We own every surface of the Nav product, nav.com, and are responsible for content that Nav creates.

What problem are you solving?

Nav's mission is to give every small business owner the chance to succeed.

Success looks different for everyone. But we know that financial health, access to capital, and guidance on how to run a business smoothly can be the biggest things that make or break any small business who's getting started.

We focus today on business credit scores and financial health for small business owners. This industry is huge—99.9% of businesses in the US are small businesses. But if you haven't heard of business credit scores, know why they're important, or know that 50% of small businesses fail within their first 5 years, that's likely by design. These customers have been neglected by the traditional industry players for years. We're changing that.

How does your team stay connected when working remotely?

Our team is spread across:

  • Austin

  • Columbus

  • Miami

  • New York

  • Philadelphia

  • San Francisco

  • San Diego

  • San Jose

  • Spokane

We try to get together as often as possible. Sometimes that's a team wide event offsite for culture and fun, other times it's a dedicated problem solving event for a small crew.

What are your team's proudest accomplishments?

We shot some pretty cool videos on some pretty small budgets

Our Creative team was tired of using stock photos and videos to talk about small business owners—we have real customers, they have real stories, and each one of them is fascinating. So our small, scrappy team flew around the US to shoot a few customer stories of our own:
