### **Job Description:**

We are seeking an Backend and Data Engineer with existing experience in crypto applications. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and data pipelines, working at the intersection of blockchain, microservices, and event-driven architectures. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions to support backend infrastructure, front end applications and a data warehouse

### **Key Experience:**

* **Backend Engineering:**

  * Architect, build, and maintain microservices using Node.js, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes

  * Ensure high availability and scalability of services in a dynamic environment

  * Implement robust data storage solutions with MongoDB, and SQL databases

  * Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Digital Ocean

* **Data Engineering:**

  * Design and develop event-driven data pipelines to handle real-time data processing

  * Collaborate with data teams to ensure data integrity, performance, and reliability

  * ETL Pipelines into a data warehouse

* **Technical Leadership:**

  * Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and drive innovation

### **Must-Have Experience:**

* **Crypto Expertise:**

  * Hands-on experience using or working on crypto applications, including usage on both centralised exchanges and decentralised apps

* **Backend Engineering:**

  * Strong experience with Kubernetes, Node.js, Docker, microservices architecture, and MongoDB

* **Data Engineering:**

  * Proven ability to design and implement data pipelines and event driven systems

### **Nice-to-Have Experience:**

* Block explorers like Etherscan or Mintscan

* Cross-chain crypto applications or bridges

* Decentralised infrastructure.

* Data warehousing and data modelling experience

* DBT, Python

* Exposure to smart contract development using Solidity, Rust, Cosmwasm, or Move

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Backend and Data Engineer

### **The role**

We're looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer with a strong eye for design to join our remote team. The role will work across the entire Squid product, collaborating with frontend developers, product designers, and marketing teams to craft exceptional user experiences.

You'll help build our retail interfaces and developer tools, bringing strong React and TypeScript skills alongside a passion for animation, micro-interactions, and making apps feel magical to use.

### **Key responsibilities**

* Collaborating with the team to develop state-of-the-art, clean, and user-friendly interfaces for our product.

* Workshopping UI and UX alongside our product designer. Trading, fintech and consumer crypto use cases.

* Working closely with the product team to understand end-user requirements and translate them into practical and effective features.

* Continuous self education and research into the newest front end tools and practices.

### **Ideal candidate**

* Strong frontend development experience (5+ years) with deep expertise in React and TypeScript

* Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to pixel-perfect implementation

* Ability to engineer elements to “feel” amazing to use, using animations, working on response times, adding design touches to improve a site or app

* Experience working with Figma, both collaboratively with designers and independently

* Background in animation and micro-interactions using tools like Framer Motion

* Comfortable using modern AI tools like Cursor to enhance development workflow

* Passion for exploring and implementing cutting-edge frontend technologies

* Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-paced startup environment

* Interest in crypto and Web3; previous experience is beneficial but not required

### **Nice to have**

* Formal education or hands-on experience in design

* Experience with creative coding tools like Three.js and GLSL shaders

* Experience building developer-focused tools for payments or finance (e.g., Stripe, Shopify)

* Building and optimizing our core swap interface

* Developing reusable component libraries for both our retail app and developer integrations

* Creating interactive marketing experiences and landing pages

* Implementing user dashboards and transaction history visualizations

### **The Role**

We're looking for an experienced iOS Engineer to join our team and oversee the development of our mobile app. As the Squid product suite expands, we need someone who is going to make this app the best it can possibly be, taking UX and performance to the limit, and collaborating with product, engineering, marketing and executives to make the app a success.

### **Key Responsibilities**

* Oversee the end-to-end process of building and supporting our mobile app across its entire lifecycle.

* Build smooth, engaging, and elegant interfaces with Swift, UIKit and the newest iOS APIs

* Work cross-functionally with Product Designers, Product Managers, Frontend and Backend Developers, and Marketing Team

### Ideal candidate

* At least 3 years of professional iOS development experience with a preference for fintech and crypto domain

* Advanced proficiency with Swift

* Deep understanding of UIKit

* Passion for developing phenomenal user experiences

* Strong product sense and ability to collaborate with Product Managers and Designers

* Portfolio of multiple apps built from start to finish published in the App Store

* Excellent communication skills and passion for solving tough technical problems

* Experience building with Kotlin multiplatform
